II
Cottage. Probably C16 or early C17. Timber-framed with brick
nogging or rendered infill, thatched roof. Two-bay, one room deep,
1 1/2 storeys: single-storey lean-to on left end. Framing 2 panels
high, mid rail at varying levels: angle braces main posts to wall
plate: small window on right, 2-light casement, probably replacing
a door: separate main posts to bays, with gap between: right-hand
bay smaller. To left 2-light casement, boarded door. Above 2-
light casement with small panes in swept dormer. Brick chimney on
left gable. Lean-to extension on left brick with thin timbers, C20
two-light casement, low pitch roof. Interior not inspected.
