Detached cottage. C17 with later extensions. Square-panelled
timber-framing with rendered infill. Later extensions in random
roughly squared limestone. Thatched roof and rendered projecting
stack with brick shaft. Red tile roof and rendered stacks to
later extensions. Rectangular main body with later lean-to to
right of open-sided entrance porch, later extensions at left gable
end of main body. Former forge projects forwards on left. Main
body 1½ storeys. Two-light eyebrow dormer with leaded panes to
first floor over an open-sided porch with hipped and thatched roof
supported by turned uprights. Three-light casement with leaded
panes at rear of porch. C20 plank door with fillets in left-hand
return of projecting lean-to. Three-light casement at front of
lean-to. Large projecting stack at left gable end. Half-hipped
roof at right gable end. Single-storey extensions to left. Former
forge projects forwards to left of main body. C20 square-panelled
timber-framing at gable end facing road and weatherboarded gable.
Lateral stack. Interior not inspected.
