Dovecote in the grounds of Manor Farm (q.v.). Dated and initialled
'I.R. 1637' and 'I.I.R. 1637' (John and Isabel Roberts) on two
separate stone plaques, one set into the west facing gable, one the
south. Coursed squared and dressed limestone with dressed stone
quoins. Square cross-gabled plan. Two storeys with moulded
plinth. Two-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned casements with
continuous hoodmoulds towards the apex of each gable. Deep flat-
chamfered string. Small, early studded plank door with strap
hinges on north side facing Manor Farm within flat-chamfered
'Tudor'-arched surround with imposts and carved spandrels.
Saddleback coping and moulded kneelers to gables. Pointed finials
above kneelers. Finials formerly at apex of each gable (remnants
of one remains at time of resurvey, March 1986). Central square
access lantern with ogee-curved leaded roof. Interior not
accessible.
