Formerly detached house now joined to The Lindens (q.v.). C17.
Square-panelled timber-framing with painted brick infill and brick
painted to imitate timber-framing. Gable ends coursed squared and
dressed limestone. Artificial stone slate roof. Rectangular plan
to main body. C20 pebble-dashed extension to right not of special
interest. Two storeys and attic. Wall above the first floor
windows (painted to imitate timber-framing) represents a later
heightening of the building. Two C20 slate hung roof dormers with
2-light casements with glazing bars. Four-windowed facade. Paired
6-pane sashes to ground floor. Four, 6 and 8-pane wood casements
to first floor. Three-light casements with leaded panes upper
left. Central C20 plank door with single pane spy light, under
open-sided wrought-iron porch, with curving leaded canopy. C20
two-light casement with glazing bars and concrete lintel in left
gable end. Carpenter's marks in the form of Roman numerals on
timber- framing. Roof hipped at left gable end. Stack at right
gable end with moulded capping. Interior not inspected.
