GV II


Detached house. C17. Square-panelled timber framing on a low
limestone plinth. Gable end away from road coursed squared and
dressed limestone with stump of an early brick stack. Gable end
facing Lake Street now encased in brick below eaves level. Stone
slate roof. Rectangular plan to main body. C20 extension to gable
end away from road, not of special interest. Main body; 2 storeys
and attic. Garden front lit by 2 and 3-light casements with leaded
panes. First floor window slightly canted with moulded brackets
below. Gable end facing road with shallow 3-light canted bay to
ground floor. Two 2-light casements to first floor. Two-light
casement to attic. Brattished tie-beam above first floor windows.
Interior not expected.
