churchyard of the Church of St
Mary c20m south of the vestry

Chest tomb to Lieutenant Colonel James Allen of Inchmartine,
Perthshire, died 1839, and other members of the Allen family.
Sandstone. Square plan. Flat standing formerly with a railing
(now removed). Moulded plinth. Inscription to Colonel Allen on
west side with fluted marginal panels. Further inscriptions south
and east sides. North side decorated with family crest comprising
a winged bird with the motto 'FORTITER' below, on the north side.
Stepped pyramidal capping. The monument was formerly highlighted
in cream and black paint.
