18/93 The Plough Inn

GV II


Inn. c17-early C18. Square-panelled timber framing (restored C20)
with C20 brick infill. Gable ends coursed squared and dressed
limestone. Thatched roof with C20 brick stacks, one on an ashlar
plinth, lb storeys. Three bays. Three 2-light dormers gabled
dormers with artificial stone slate roofs at eaves. One 2 and one
3-light casement to ground floor. Plank door within flat-chamfered
segmental-headed surround in left gable end.
Interior; original beams, early plank door with early thumb latch.
Fine flat-chamfered 'Tudor'-arched stone fireplace.
