immediately east of Mill House

GV II


Barn and shelter shed on land belonging to Mill Farm. Late C18-
early C19. Brick. Red tile roof to barn, pantile roof to shelter
shed. Rectangular plan to barn with shelter shed at right gable
end. Outbuildng attached at rear of barn not of special interest.
Large steel doors off-centre left on the east side. Diamond-shaped
ventilation panels in sides and at gable ends. Two pitching
windows to right of double doors. Brick dentils at eaves. Eight-
bay shelter-shed to right with 4½ open bays at centre, loose box
and plank door at left-hand end, 1½ bays at right-hand end with
boarded front. Small buttresses along rear wall. Barn interior;
4 bays with queen post roof trusses with raking struts and double
trenched purlins. Principal rafters stop at collar beam height.
