Chest tomb to Thomas Cartwright. C17. Limestone. Tomb c2.25m
in length with a hollow-chamfered plinth. Pair of sunken basket-
headed inscription plaques on the north side with carved spandrels.
Inscriptions in both panels now illegible. Two inscriptions in
italics on the north side; left-hand to Thomas Cartwright, died
1706 and Mary, daughter of Thomas and Mary Cartmel, died 1723,
right hand to Thomas Cartwright died 172(4) and Thomas Cartwright,
died 1726.
