SO 83 NE TWYNING PUCKRUP

Detached house, C17 and C18. Some square-panelled timber-framing
with brick infill visible at rear, other walls now encased in brick
in several different stages. Stone and brick and brick stacks.
C18 flattened 'U'-shaped plan. Timber framing visible at rear.
Two storeys and attic. Five-windowed entrance front. Two and
three-light casements with transoms within segmental-headed
surround. C20 top opening casements within segmental-headed
surrounds to the ground floor. C20 panelled door with canopy off-
centre left. Early studded plank door off-centre right. Single
roof dormer with glazing bars to attic. Brick dentils to eaves.
Interior; ceiling beams arranged in Y-shape. The diagonally set
beams may be dragon beams suggesting that the building may once
have been jettied. Open fireplace with bressumer. Mid-late C18
staircase with turned balusters. Large projecting stack at rear.
Two projecting stacks from the left-hand return.
