11/66 Moore monument in the churchyard,
about 5m south of south transept,
Church of St Michael and All Angels

GV II

Chest tomb. John Moore, died 1801. Stone. Flat lid, moulded
edge, corners indented on long sides. Projecting centre to sides,
fielded panel, scalloped corners, low relief carving; set back
each side a fluted pilaster. Ends, fielded rectangular panel with
scalloped corners. Moulded top to plinth; whole on stone paving
originally carrying iron railings. Later inscription to wife.
Mixed upper and lower case lettering, long s, some copperplate
scrolling.
