13/100 War memorial
War memorial. Circa 1920, by Sir P. Stott, carved Alexander
Fisher, lettering by E. Gill. Ashlar and bronze. Circular base
and column. Four circular stone steps, each with insets, bottom
step at ground level: above a square step with double-indented
corners. Cubical base, with raised square panels for lettering on
each face: moulded top, 2 steps to circular column with plain
capital, and further circular shaft above. Bronze statue of St
George on top, piercing dragon wrapped round top of shaft below
(D. Verey, Gloucestershire, The Cotswolds, 1970)
