Farmhouse. C17, enlarged and altered C19. Coursed, squared
stone, stone slate roof. Two-bay, 2 1/2 storey block, single-bay, 2-
storey extension to right, 2-bay wing to rear. To road, windows
all mullioned, mostly with plain chamfer, no hoodmoulds. On left:
3-light ovolo-moulded window, iron opening light; 3-light window.
Slight set back, moulded stone near first floor level,
cantilevering line of set back slightly to right. Three-panel
door, fielded panels, hoodmould: 3-light window with iron opening
light. Above, two 3-light windows, iron opening lights, set back,
2-light window running up into dormer with parapet gable. Main
block, 2 tall stone gables, blocked 2-light windows to attic, above
semi-circular headed light with sunk spandrels in apex of gable,
right-hand one blind. Ridge chimney on right gable main block ,
ashlar with moulded cap: similar rear between gables. Parapet
gable and ridge chimney right end extension. Probably C17 block
built onto end of earlier building, latter replaced in C19. Forms
group with Wood Stanway House (q.v.).
