5/153 Gate piers, railings and gate,
The Lodge

GV II

Gate piers, railings and gate. c1904, presumably contemporary with
The Lodge (q.v.). Ashlar piers; cast iron railings by Bayliss Ltd
of Wolverhampton. Pair of ashlar piers cl.5m in height with
pyramidal capping and ball finial; further matching pier to
single-width entrance to one side of main entrance. Spear-headed
railings forming 3 sides of boundary to The Lodge; ball finials to
piers flanking cast iron gate within railings.
