17/200 The Old Thatched Cottage

II

Cottage. C18. Painted brick on a coursed squared and dressed
limestone plinth, suggesting the building may once have been timber
framed; thatched roof with decorative ridge thatching and early
brick stack. Rectangular plan. Flat-roofed extension to gable
end and rear not of special interest. Two 2-light and two 3-light
segmental-headed metal casements with leaded panes to the ground
floor. Two small 2-light eyebrow dormers. Central C19 door with
two glazed panels at the top. Gable-end and corner stack. Gable
end with half hip. Interior not inspected.
