Circa 1835. Group of 3 houses joined to Nos 4, 5, 6, 10, 11 and 12 (q.v.).
No 9 was damaged during the Second World War and rebuilt in replica in 1949.
Three storeys and basement stuccoed, the ground floor rusticated. Nine windows
in all the central 3 in recessed portions. Parapet and eaves cornice with
pedimented feature above central 3 windows. Bands between floors. Sashes
with glazing bars intact; the ground floor windows with cornices and brackets
above. Three round-headed doorcases, the central one to No 8 having cornice
and brackets over. No 8 also has cast iron balconettes to ground floor windows.
