Early C19. Three storeys red brick with grey headers. Parapet with stone
coping conceals roof. Brick dentil cornice. Two sashes without glazing bars.
Modern shop-front.
Underneath No 8. is a vault probably of circa 1400. Elliptical in shape in
ashlar with a corse of fine ashlar at springing level. Rectangular projection
in north-east angle of the undercroft which probably contained a garderobe
shaft from the floor above.
