C18. Two parallel ranges. Left-hand part of 3 storeys. Right-hand part
of 3 storeys, attics and basement. Originally 2 houses adjoining York Gate.
Built of brick with old tiled mansard roof to left-hand part and hipped slate
roof to the rest. Bracketted cornice. Five sashes with glazing bars intact.
Rusticated ground floor. Original doorcase in north corner with stuccoed
surround and moulded flat hood on plain brackets. Six fielded panelled door,
the top 2 panels cut away and glazed.
