GV II

C17, C18. Mixed group of diminutive cottages. The easternmost (No 26) is 1-
storeyed with attic, having a longer 2-storeyed side elevation. Red tile roof,
tile-fronted gabled dormer, ½ hipped gable to the east and long ridge ending
in rear gable. Exposed timber-frame in the upper part of the east end and along
the east side, brick nogged: 2 massive chimney breasts on the east side. Case-
ments. Modern gabled timber framed porch on a brick base, being standard to
the 3 dwellings. No 28 is taller, 2-storeyed, with a tile-hung gable on the
west side; red tile roof, red brickwork in Flemish bond, lst-floor band. 2 case-
ments. No 30 is 1-storey with attic; tile roof ½ hipped, 2 tile faced gabled
dormers resting on eaves, 1 ground floor casement. Rear of group shows 3 ½-
timbered gables and 2 catslides, with brickwork in English bond. Strongly
grouped with Chapel. Cottage and Old Meeting House, in Well Road.
