C16, C19. 2 storeyed 3-unit timber-framed house with entrance and staircase
(now altered) on either side of a massive chimney breast. 3 windows. Red tile
roof, hipped at south end, catslide at rear. Frame exposed in upper wall, filled
with painted brickwork, and tile-hung in north gable. Ground-floor walling of
later (painted) brickwork. Modern casements, old leaded light to tiny gabled
dormer at rear. Modern hood to doorway, which has a solid frame. A recent
extension to rear at the north end. The building is said to have been a Dame's
school, and a bell hangs at the boarded upper part of the north gable.
