4/113 The Homestead

GV II

C17, and circa 1900. 2 storeyed houses, the western part being a timber framed
structure, with a timber framed elevation at the west end. Red tile roofing,
2 gables to the south and another at the north side of the west end, all tile-
hung. Massive attached stack on the north. Red brickwork, as infill and other
walling mainly English bond. Casements. Brick porch with round arch below
gable, is circa 1900. This part of the house is of recent date, larger, in tradi-
tional style.
