C13, C19. Medieval nave and chancel, with mid C19 transepts and western tower.
Red tile roof. The walls are of small stones and flint, with stone dressings.
There are 3 single light small windows with cusped tops, a traceried 2-light
window with a pointed arch (C14) and 1 2-light window (C15) within a square
frame. Other windows are of the same pattern (C19); within a splayed 4-centre
arch are 3 lights with simple cusping, one is the east window, one is on the
south side of the nave, and the others are in the transepts where they have
hood moulds (arched above, square below). The western tower is of 3 stages,
marked by weathered boards; 4 pinnacles at each corner rise above an embattled
parapet, diagonal corner buttresses offset at each stage, a high plinth, the
walling being in flint with ashlar stone dressings. Windows have 3 lights at
the top stage, 2 in the middle and 1 at the bottom. Good fittings, box pews,
early C18 communion rail.
