Cl8, C19. Old block of 2 storeys and attic, with substantial changes of
the early and mid C19, involving an addition to the front (east) and a
3-storeyed rear service wing. Symmetrical stucco front of 2 storeys, 3
windows, with classical treatment, including a blocking course, moulded
cornice and frieze, double band to 1st floor, plain architraves of shallow
projection, and plinth. Sashes in reveals. Tuscan porch with pilasters
and side walls. The south front, continuing the classical form, includes
a 2 storeyed angular bay, and merges into the 3 storeyed block. Red tile
roofing, with hips to the original part, hipped dormers and ½-hips to the
rear block; one prominent stack with moulded cornice.
