4/9 Cold Piece Farmhouse



Early C 18, C19. 2 storeys and attic. Formerly a symmetrical front (west)
of 5 windows, but 2 upper and 2 lower windows have been replaced by wider
casements of less height at the 2nd and 5th bay. Red tile hipped roof
with 2 high level dormers with tiled gables; central stack. Red brick
walling in Flemish bond with blue headers, cambered openings, 3 former
windows filled in flush and 2 as recessed panels, plinth. 3-light square-
leaded casements. Brick porch has an arched opening with impost blocks
and plinth, plastered vault within, a plain doorway with 6-panelled door
(2 top-lit). Rear extensions on the south end of Victorian and modern
date but in style, with a large flat-roofed porch.
