SU 75 NW HECKFIELD HOUND GREEN

4/10 Barn at Cold Piece Farm
to south of Farmhouse

C18. 6-bay timber-frame, with eaves brought low on the north side and
supported on posts as an open aisle; 2 entrances at the 3rd and 6th bay.
Queen post truss with straight struts. Red tile roof, gable (boarded)
to one entrance and hip to the other. Wall frame bricknogged. At the
west end is, attached at right-angles, a smaller 4-bay unit, with a timber-
frame having sloping struts from tie-beam to purlins; red tile roof ½-hipped
at gables, boarded upper walling, lower in brickwork.
