11/4 Down Farmhouse

Circa 1800. Square house of 2 storeys, with symmetrical (west) front of
3 windows. Red tile roof, hipped. Rendered walls, stone cills, plinth. Sashes
in reveals. Solid roughcast porch has oval fanlight above a sash window (former
doorway). The south elevation has a large 2-storeyed angular bay at the west
side. The north elevation has a tall staircase window. The single-storeyed
extension to the east has heavy beams within (perhaps a farm building before
the enclosure of 1791).
