II

Early C19, mid C19,. Earlier house, with extensions probably of 1845, when the church
was rebuilt. Symmetrical front (north) of the earlier phase, of 2-storeys, 3
windows. Tile roof, deep eaves fascia. Red brick walling in Flemish bond, 1st floor
band, stone cills, stepped plinth. Sashes in reveals, wider to the ground floor.
Gabled brick porch of the 2nd phase, with Tudor door frame to panelled door, and wavy
ornamental bargeboards. The longer west elevation, of 1.4 windows, shows the later
extensions and also alterations, with similar features, including a French window in a
tiled-roofed brick rectangular bay. The other elevations contain more altered
details, with irregularly-placed windows. The chimneys are Tudor tacks of the 2nd
phase.
