Browning Hill

II

C16, early C19, C20. A late-medieval small 2-bay timber-framed hall, with later
alterations and additions. 2 storeys and attic. Thatched roof, with eyebrow
dormers. Some framing is exposed but the lower part of the old part has red brick
cladding in Monk bond; the recent work is a close imitation, Casements. Modern
doorway. Within, sufficient remains of the original frame, to which a fireplace was
added (backing onto but not touching the middle truss) in the middle (C16), and
another at one end (C18).
