Late C18, C19. The large rectangular area is surrounded by a high wall of red
brickwork, in Flemish band, with plinth (double in parts), having buttresses at
intervals, corner piers, and a weathered slate capping. On the axis at the west end
there is a wide opening, flanked by piers, with a stone curb supporting wrought-iron
railings and a central double gate. A wider gap at the east end is associated with
the house.
