Holly Bush Farmhouse

1779, mid C19. Symmetrical west facade of 2 storeys, 3 windows. Hipped tile roof.
Red brick walling in Flemish bond, thin blue band at the upper cill level, white
impost band linking 3 blind arcades, with recessed blue header panels containing the
round-headed openings and with outer arches of flintwork: between the upper openings
blue brick form the figures 1779 (although the top courses have been changed). Sashes
in exposed frames, central French door. The south side of this block has a large
blind arch formed of flintwork, with a continuous band at impost level. The, north
side of the older part continues as a slightly lower eastward extension, of 4 windows
(1 blank to each floor): sashes, gabled porch with walling of vertical boards and a
6-panelled door. Formerly, the Lion Inn.
