(Set back between Nos 3 and 5). 1809. Rectangular block with a symmetrical gabled
front (south) to a small forecourt. Walling of squared knapped flint with flush stone
dressings; quoins, a small circular panel with 3 cusps, central triple lancets (the
central being taller and wider), a lancet at a lower level at each side, and central
wide doorway with a pointed arch. The other sides are of brickwork, with 3 wide
lancets to each long side, and a high circular window in the other (north) gable.
Slate roof. Within, there is a balcony and original plain furnishings, with a number
of wall monuments (of the 1850's to 90's); the 5 bays are marked by decorative roof
beams. The windows are sashes. A later schoolroom (at the rear of No 3) is entered
by a doorway with a pointed arch.
