No 42

C17, early C19. Formerly 2 now one dwelling; 2 storeys, 2 windows. Tile roof. Two
large gables to the front. Rendered walling, cambered openings. Casements, and one
modern bow. Gabled doorway with deep brick pilasters, arched opening with plain
fanlight, 6-panelled (2 top glazed) door. Within, there is exposure of the
timber-frame, which has some continuity with No 38.
