Early C19, late C19. House and mill in one range, with a later taller extension to
the mill at the west end. House part of 2 storeys, 3 windows; the mill of 2 and 3
storeys, with less regular fenestration. Half-hipped tile roof, brick dentil eaves;
the tall west block is gabled front at rear, with an attached slender tapering
chimney; one large boarded and gabled dormer to the mill. Red brick walling in
Flemish bond with blue headers, red rubbed flat arches, the mill section having
smaller openings with cambered heads. Sashes in reveals; casements to mill. Doorway
with hood, other doors plain. At the rear flanking dam walls converge to a wheelhouse
opening. The chimney indicates a later conversion to steam power, and the machinery
still remains.
