Downhams Cottage


C17, early C19. Timber-framed cottage of one storey and attic, with a 2-storeyed
extension of the later period. Hipped thatch roofing, of 2 levels, one eybrow dormer;
end tapered brick stack. Exposed frame, bricknogged, above a cement plinth, the later
part having flint walling with brick quoins. Casement. Boarded door in solid frame.
