Hillview Cottages

II


C18, early C19. A pair of cottages at right-angles to the road, with a later
extension at the south end; one storey and attic, irregular fenestration. Thatched
roof, hipped at the south half-hipped at the north end, eyebrow dormers, catslide at
the rear (north-west) ending in corrugated iron. Exposed timber frame with brick
infill being for the most part in narrow horizontal bands alternating with flint;
flint panels in brick walling elsewhere. Casements; one sash. Plain doorways in open
porches.
