C17, mid C19. Old small centre with extensions north and south of the later period.
Two storeys, irregular fenestration. Tile roofing, gabled dormers with bargeboards and
tiled fronts, diagonal flues on square stacks. Upper walling is tile-hung, with
scalloped bands, the lower in brickwork, with exposed timber-framing in the middle
part. Casements; some small and plain, some ground-floor windows have projecting
frames on brackets, and pent roofs, also 2 sashes. At the front (south) there is a
2-storeyed porch, with a jettied 1st floor, a Tudor doorway arch and tiny round-headed
windows.
