(Deep Well Cottage)


C16, early C19. Timber-framed house, with crucks, of one storey and attic, irregular
fenestration. Thatch roofing, one gabled dormer with a herring-bone brick apron.
Exposed frame, mostly at the rear but to the south side on the (west) front, with brick
infill; other walling in red brick Flemish bond, with blue headers. Modern casements
(one old metal window at the rear). Plain doors.
