Rose Cottage


C18, early C19. In the form of a small symmetrical pair, of one-storey and attic, 2
windows. Half-hipped thatch roof, taken to low eaves at the rear. The gable and rear
part of the side walls have exposed framing, but the main walling is red brick
cladding, in Monk bond, with cambered openings to the ground-floor. Old casements, the
upper of diagonal leaded lights, the lower of cast metal panes. Boarded doors within
solid frames.
