Compton House


C17, C18, and modern. Two-storeyed timber-framed building with later additions
including an early C19 roadside facade of 3 windows. Old tile roofing with gables, hips and 1/2-hips, modern entrance outshot on the north side brought to a low eaves, brick dentil eaves to roadside front. Some gables have exposed timber-framing but the walling is in red brickwork. Flemish bond, with cambered ground-floor openings, a massive tapered stack at the south end. Casements, small modern bow replaces door in the centre of the roadside front. New entrance on the east side.
