House, formerly farmhouse. Early to mid C17 timber framed house reclad
in early C19. Timber framing with box panels and diagonal braces
visible to 2 bays of north east or entrance front and part of rear
elevation. Rest red brick infilling or red brick, mainly in Flemish
garden wall bond. Half-hipped tiled roof with off-central brick
chimneystacks and rear stack. 2 storeys, 3 windows. Front elevation
has triple C20 casements in C18 cambered surround to ground floor
left. Some C20 metal casements to rear. Interior has exposed frame
with some diagonal braces, C17 chamfered spine beam with lambs tongue
stop restored brick cambered open fireplace. Staircase with C17 newel
posts with ball finial and wooden handrail and original wide rake
floorboards.
