VILLAGE STREET (south side)
Daventry Cottage

(Formerly listed under MAIN STREET)

II
House. C17, and late C20. Timber-framed structure with a half-hipped thatch roof, having different eaves levels. One storey and attic, two windows. The frame is exposed at the front (north) and the upper parts of each end, indicating that the lower rear extension masks a former catslide: painted brick infill with some areas of flint. Small casements. Boarded door in a solid frame. Late C20 brick and tile extensions, set back on the west side.
