10/33 Barrack Cottage


Range of cottages, converted into one dwelling. C17 timber frame with C18
brick and flint cladding. C18 wing of flint and brick, forming an L-shaped
plan. Thatched roof. 1 storey and attic, fairly regular fenestration.
The roof has different levels, includes ½-hips and gables, a catslide, and
a small area of tiling with 3 hipped tiled dormers. There are brick dressings
to the flint walls, some rubbed flat arches to openings now filled, cambered
arches to most of the (small) openings, some buttresses, and indications of
several alterations. Casements. Plain doorways.
