9/13 Knockwood Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. C17 encased late C18, extended early Cl9. Timber-frame with brick
infill on ends and encasing on sides, old plain tile roof. 4 bay timber-frame
with eaves raised, bay added to right and lean-to dairy added to left end,
also wings to rear. Front 2 storey, 5 bay with dairy on left end. Cl9 gabled
brick porch with segmental opening to right in centre bay. Beside and in
other inner bays Cl9 3-light casement with segmental head and similar 2-light
casement in outer bays. On lst floor 5 2-light casements. Roof half-hipped
with stacks between left bays and right bays. Derelict C18 farm buildings.
