Cottage, once 2. Early C17 with extensions early C19. Timber-frame, some brick
nogging exposed on rear upper part, front upper part tilehung, rest brick
(Flemish bond) encasing, old plain tile roof. 3 bay with C19 bay added to end,
1 1/2 storey. Open gabled porch, on old reused posts, with C19 Gothic door.
Windows 2 above 4. 2 & 3-light cast-iron casements under cambered arches,
lattice glazed. Upper casements built on wallplate in gabled dormers with
simple bargeboards. Stack of brick shafts now central. Interior shows framing
and massive chimney breast.
