in Flemish bond, cambered arches to the openings. Slate roof. Rectangular
structure of two storeys and two attic floors, south front of five openings.
Two doorways at the 1st floor have been glazed, and above each is a hoist on
brackets, with a casement to the front, boarded walls and gabled roof. Casement.
Three plain doors at the ground-floor. The east gable has a wall monument with
brick framework, including an arched top with a keystone, and a stone plaque
inscribed ..."This building stands on a frame of large beech timber which was
given by Sir Richard Mill Bart, in the memory of whose kindness this stone was
placed here by T.C.K 1728". The machinery has been retained, in carrying out
the conversion to dwellings. The roadway in front of the mill crosses the
bridge above the race, which makes a wide brick arch opening onto the lower pool.
