Former Manor House, now house. Late C15 or early C16 building of 2 bays,
refronted in brick in C17 with lobby entrance addition of 2 1/2 bays added between
1650 and 1675. Refenestrated early to mid C19. One and a half storeys, 3
windows. Front elevation is of C17 English bond brickwork now painted, slate
roof and off central brick chimneystack. 3 brick stringcourse, 3 gabled
dormers with fretted bargebonds and triple casements. Ground floor has three
2C-pane sashes in reveals and projecting one storey closed in entrance porch
with hipped tiled roof and 16-pane sash. Interior cross wing has queen strut
roof with butt purlins and rafters joined and teamed at the purlin. Parlour
has Cl7 finely moulded beams with chamfered stops. Moated site.
