C16 timber framed building of 2 storeys and attic, 4 windows irregularly
placed. 2 builds, that on right having very steeply pitched roof half
hipped at right, and that at left nearly as steep, also half hipped. Roofs
tiled with chimney left of centre and later, square dormer. Close studded
lst floor with flushwork flint filling at right; square framing with brick
filling at left. Front has been jettied but ground floor was built out
in C18 brick, now bulging and supported by C19 brick buttresses, front
and back. South wall tile hung. Replaced casement windows. Inside very
stout and long chamfered beams with pronounced curve. Exposed posts with
half-rails. One small original fireplace upstairs. Old floor bricks on
ground floor.
