Early C16 2-storey 4-window building. Tiled roof of very high pitch with
2 gabled dormers. off-centre chimney, rebuilt. Overhanging, lst floor
with exposed beam ends beneath, close studded and with knapped flint filling.
Rendered ground floor with modern but unobtrusive shop fronts. lst floor
windows restored, leaded casements. Continuous with No 1, Chapel Street
(qv) NMR.
Nos 1, 2, 3 and 5 with No 1 Chapel form a group.
