Early C19. Formerly Blackbrook Place. White brick. South facade has stone plinth,
bands at lst and 2nd floors and stone blocking course. Brick eaves cornice. 3
storeys and cellars. 5 windows, including 3 in centre brick bow which extends
full height of building. lst floor of bow recessed with stone Ionic pillars between
windows and iron balcony in front of 2 outer windows. 1st and 2nd floors have
3 light sashes flanking centre windows. Sashes, all with glazing bars except ground
floor bow has no glazing bars and eastern ground floor window has modern glazing,
with 1 storey modern wooden addition in front. West side 2 storey recessed later
C19 extension with slate roof. North or entrance facade has square brick porch
with pilasters and centre lst floor bay above slightly advanced. Interior has
brick vaulted former wine cellars and good staircase with turned, twisted balusters.
