C18. Large house now offices. Red brick with stuccoed string course above the
ground floor. Brick modillion cornice and coped parapet. Roof not visible. 3
storeys. 6 windows, sashes with glazing bars and rubbed, red brick gauged arches.
Doorway with pilasters, pediment and door or 8 fielded panels.
All the listed buildings on High Street and Union Street, with the listed street
lamps form a group, together with Nos land 2 and the Parish Church of St Peter
and St Paul, Church Place and with the Red Lion Hotel and No 10 East Street. (No
45, High Street is of local interest).
